One price for any US founder. Same workflow whether you have an SSN or not. IRS-issued EIN, delivered with the CP 575 confirmation letter. No upsells.
Any founder needing an EIN for a US LLC. Includes non-resident founders who do not have an SSN or ITIN. Includes existing LLC owners who skipped EIN at formation. Includes single-member LLCs needing an EIN to open a business bank account or accept payments.
EIN — Employer Identification Number — is the 9-digit federal tax ID the IRS assigns to every US business entity. Every US LLC needs one for banking, payment processing, hiring, and tax filing. The acquisition process is straightforward but breaks into two distinct paths depending on whether the responsible party has an SSN or ITIN: the online IRS portal (for SSN/ITIN holders, instant issuance) or the fax channel to IRS Cincinnati (for non-residents without an SSN or ITIN, typical 5-7 day turnaround). We handle both paths at the same $99 flat fee. The deliverable is identical — an EIN plus the IRS-issued CP 575 confirmation letter.
The most common misconception about EIN is that non-residents can't get one. They absolutely can. The IRS Form SS-4 instructions explicitly accommodate the "Foreign" designation for the responsible party's tax ID, and there's no SSN requirement. The fax-to-Cincinnati workflow has been the standard non-resident path for over 20 years. We file as third-party designee — meaning our team member signs the SS-4 as the authorized party who can receive the EIN on your behalf. The IRS calls us back if they need clarification, we coordinate with you via WhatsApp, and the CP 575 confirmation gets mailed to our address for same-day scan and forward. Total turnaround during normal periods: 5-7 days. During January-April tax season the IRS backlog can stretch this to 4-6 weeks — we flag this on intake if relevant.
The edge cases worth knowing about: (1) Single-member LLC EIN is required for banking even though the LLC is taxed as a disregarded entity — banks need the EIN to open the account; the IRS doesn't need a separate return. (2) If you formed your LLC and didn't get an EIN at formation, our standalone $99 EIN service covers any state's LLC, not just Wyoming/NM/DE/NV. (3) The "responsible party" on Form SS-4 must be a natural person — not a holding LLC. For multi-tier structures, the responsible party is usually the ultimate-natural-person owner. (4) The CP 575 letter is your proof of EIN issuance — keep it. Banks ask for it every time. The IRS will replace it (147C letter) but the process takes 4-6 weeks. (5) If your EIN responsible party changes (new managing member, ownership transfer), the IRS requires a Form 8822-B update within 60 days.
Day-by-day breakdown so you know what's happening at every stage.
We try to be explicit about scope so there are no surprises. Anything below is either outside this SKU, sold separately, or handled by you directly.
Honest line-by-line. We're not the cheapest sticker price in every cell — we're the cheapest after the upsells the others bolt on at checkout.
The intake is short. Five minutes, maybe ten. Below is exactly what we'll ask and why we need each piece.
Before SS-4 submitted: 100% refund minus Stripe fees. Cancel within 24 hours before we file.
After SS-4 submitted but before EIN issued: No refund — we've already done the work. But we'll continue chasing the application until EIN is delivered, regardless of how long it takes.
If IRS rejects your SS-4: We re-file at no extra charge. Common reasons: name mismatch, duplicate EIN, responsible party conflict. All resolvable with correction and re-submission.
If EIN takes longer than 6 weeks (non-resident fax): No refund — IRS timing is outside our control — but we'll WhatsApp you weekly with status. If 12 weeks pass with no EIN, we escalate via IRS practitioner hotline at no extra charge.
